One of the most luxurious theatres of its day, the Theatre Royal provided opulent surroundings for the boom of music hall and variety, the birth of light opera, exciting new drama, touring opera and, by the twenties and thirties, the best Hollywood-style musicals and pantomimes.

The Theatre Royal is now regarded as one of the best touring venues in the country, attracting major touring dramas, opera, ballet, West End musicals and, of course, an annual pantomime.

Passenger Drop Off
There is a passenger drop off area for both venues on South Sherwood Street, NG1 4BY, outside the Royal Concert Hall.

Follow signs for the city centre and the 'Royal Zone' for public car parks; click on the map on the right. The nearest car park is Q-Park.

By Bus

By Rail
Nottingham Station is a 15 minute walk or a short taxi ride from the venue. You can also hop on the tram at Station Street for a 5 minute journey to the Royal Centre stop. Visit www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk for train times and fares.
