Getting Here

The Grand Theatre is situated on Lichfield Street in the north east part of Wolverhampton City Centre. In the heart of the town's Entertainment Quarter, we are within easy walking distance of the Rail, Metro and newly refurbished Bus stations with a wide selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and wine bars in the immediate vicinity. The Wolverhampton Civic Hall, Light House Media Centre and award-winning Art Gallery & Museum are also close by.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The theatre is a three minute walk from Wolverhampton Rail Station and three minutes from Wolverhampton St Georges Metro Station. The main bus station is a minute away.

M6 J10, follow A454 to Wolverhampton
M54 J2, follow A449 to Wolverhampton
M5 J5, follow A4123 to Wolverhampton

Convenient car parks are situated at Broad Street, Piper's Row, Fryer Street, Railway Street and The Virgin Trains Car Park at the Station. For details of how to take advantage of reserved car parking at NCP's Piper's Row Car Park please visit the parking page.

TRAFFIC LAYOUT CHANGE

As part of the development of the Bus Station the roundabout at the east end of Lichfield Street has now been replaced with a traffic light controlled junction where Lichfield Street intersects with Fryer Street and Railway Drive. You are advised that there are new priorities and controls in this area.

THEATRE ACCESS

For set down and pick up at the Theatre itself follow signs to the Railway Station from Wolverhampton Ring Road, turning off Ring Road adjacent to the Chubb Buildings (Light House Cinema). Proceed left up Fryer Street towards the Station. Turn right at the traffic lights to access Lichfield Street. The Grand Theatre is situated on the left hand side. Please note that the bay beyond the theatre in Lichfield Street is for set down / pick-up only.

PLEASE NOTE: IMPORTANT PIPER'S ROW ACCESS INFORMATION

Please note that ongoing work on the Metro approach to the city centre is currently affecting access routes to Pipers Row NCP Car Park.

Patrons entering the city from the ring road at Bilston St Island cannot currently turn right into Pipers Row from Bilston Street.

You can follow a circular diversion which will lead you left off Bilston Street, past the Central Library and back out towards the Ring Road on Garrick Street and then Bilston Street until you can turn left into Pipers Row.

Alternatively you can enter Snow Hill via the traffic lights at the A4123 Birmingham Road junction to reach Garrick Street and then Bilston Street.You may wish to allow extra time for your journey.

Please note in addition that it is not currently possible to access Princess Street from Stafford Street or Lichfield Street.
