We’re spending our tour of the UK enjoying everything we can in this very different world. So it was joyous to take Barmy Britain to the village of Clovelly in Devon last weekend and spend the break between shows swimming in the sea. Clovelly village is interestingly all owned by one family – who gave me a towel to dry off. We had two lovely audiences, including a family who’d seen the show in Exeter – it’s great to get this repeat business! Next stop is Soulton Hall, a 17th century mansion in Shropshire. And coming up is the very special Minack Theatre in Cornwall. We’re really enjoying taking a tour around so much of what makes Britain not only barmy but beautiful.
